we have to have a new economy in the city of detroit. we also have to do something with our education system, although the mayor does not run the school system, the mayor needs to be the strongest advocate of education this city has ever seen. we're failing miserably at educating our children. my grandfather was a share cropper with a third grade education. he stressed to all of us how important education was and how it can lift you up out of the circumstance you're in. that's why we have to educate the children of detroit. we had some issues with blight we had to clean up. those will be the things at the top of me agenda. >> does sound like the thing you're going to be able to control quickly on the law enforcement front. you're a sheriff, county wide official. does that mean, are you going to look for money to hire more cops on the streets? what does it mean? i'm curious, do you favor programs like stop and frisk? i know the mayor of philadelphia is somebody who would like that tactic, though not to do it via profiling. >> you know, st
